The warmth parted her lips, letting the cold frigid air rush in, cooling the sudden heat away.

A tall yet slim figure stood on the balcony with Weiss, overlooking the streets of Beacon, basking in the lights that sprawled out among the winter night.

Snow, as soft as the serene silence fell from the sky, it had all happened so quickly. A moment of intimacy shared between the two, as the rest of the world carried on.

The figure gaped at blue eyes, staring at what could only be described as the soul, as a sheepish smile cracked away at the edge of her burning face.

Weiss took solace in the calm silver eyes that stared back at her, feeling at ease Weiss took a deep breath as the cold winter air invaded her lungs.

Even now, Weiss could still feel her inner demons taunt her, screaming at her for the choices she had made. Coherent thoughts becoming nonsensical noise; words no longer being formed.

Then again, at the start of this journey, everything made sense, only for that to be dashed to the wind.

The person by Weiss' side turned and spoke to her; the words didn't reach her ears due to a lack of concentration. Shaking her head a little before focusing her gaze to her partner, Weiss spoke up.

"Could you please repeat that? I wasn't paying attention, sorry." Icy blue eyes glancing with a rather sweet smile.

The noise that surfaced from her partner's mouth was irritable and that of a low-pitched rumbling. A rhythmic flow to it.

"Wait, what?" Completely dumbfounded, an expression of sheer confusion found its way on her face.

Weiss' partner seemed to chuckle before speaking once more, only for the same dreadful noise to be emitted from their vocal cords.

Weiss' eyes drifted towards the city, well what was left of it, noticing it had vanished into an inky haze, almost like a blur in one's memory.

The first thing Weiss had noticed was that her "partner" hadn't noticed at all. Almost like nothing had changed, even with each passing second as more of the surroundings began dissipating into nothingness.

Fear, anxiety and panic began to swarm Weiss' mind like moths to a flame. The balcony beneath the two began to crumble and break away.

Weiss took one final glance at her partner who held a warm smile as the platform finally gave way.

Weiss fell into the void, as her partner began to burn and scatter like petals in the wind, the dark depths clinging ahold of Weiss.

"NO!" Weiss shrieked out as her body propelled itself upright and her body had broken out into a cold sweat. Scanning the room quickly, she regained her composure and took several deep breaths.

"It was just a bad dream. Nothing more and nothing less." Weiss thought to reassure herself, only for her attention to be brought to an irritating yet familiar low-pitched rumbling.

Turning her head to the nightstand by her bed, an alarm clock howling at her only served to irritate Weiss more and with one swift motion of her hand, it was soon silenced.

A/N: It's good to be back! I'll be revamping the chapters. Making minor tweaks or releasing chapters for filler purposes.

I do not own RWBY for that belongs to RoosterTeeth.
