A phone call away
Disclaimer: I don't own Malcolm in the Middle
Summery: Malcolm talks to Francis about his first week of high school. One shot
"Hey Malcolm" Francis said into the phone happy (but he'd never admit it) to be talking to his second youngest brother.
"Hey Francis" Malcolm replied slowly.
"How was your first week?" Malcolm was silent for a moment.
"Malcolm?"
"I'm still here, you want to hear the long story or the short one?"
"The short one" Francis said immediately. He didn't want to spend anymore of his boss's money that he had to (man had he changed!)
"Well Mum and Dad ended up there because of cheating on their taxes resulting in me getting the worst nickname in history, Dewy became a latch-key kid (Dad's exact words!), Reece was well… Reece…" Francis had to laugh at that, but then waited for his little brother to continue.
"and I… IgotlabeledasyouknowwithareallystinknicknameandthenhumilatedmyselfagainandagainthenIdecidedtosendmyselftomiletryschoolbydoingwhatyoudid" Malcolm said in one word.
"O…K…. say that again?" Francis asked wondering how long the long story was.
"I got labelled with a really stink nickname and then I humiliated myself again and again then I decided to send myself to military school by doing what you did but Reece and another friend stopped me." Malcolm said slowly.
"YOU WHAT? REECE DID WHAT?" Francis yelled into the phone.
"I wanted to send myself to-" Malcolm started again.
"I heard you the first, well second time. What I cant believe is why you would want to send yourself THERE of all places? And why on earth did Reece stop you?" Malcolm decided on the later one first.
"Well the whole reason being Reece didn't want me to go to military school was the fact that he would be left along with Mum"
"Typical, but understandable wouldn't he of had Dewey there?"
"Not at school"
"Very true. Why on earth did you want to go to Military School of all places?" Malcolm sighed he had been praying that Francis had forgotten that question.
"It seemed like the only way out. I was going to run a car into Mum's"
"They would of sent you"
"I know that's why I was going to do it"
"So what stopped you?"
"Well Reece jumped in front of the car, he said that he would stay there and I replied to him that I would run him over anyway- that's how determined I was going to do it then a friend who's a girl yelled out that she wouldn't…" Malcolm hesitated.
"She wouldn't what?" Francis said noticing the hesitation.
"She yelled out that she wouldn't have sexwithmeanymore" Malcolm said the last part extremely quickly.
"WHAT?"
"She said that she wouldn't have sex with me anymore"
"You had sex and you didn't tell me? I was like 2 years older than you" Francis said in wonderment.
"The thing was…"
"Was it good?"
"FRANCIS!" Malcolm yelled.
"What?"
"The thing was that I didn't do it with her"
"Sure you didn't"
"God why won't anyone believe me?"
"Because a girl said it and they normally don't blurt that out…" Malcolm sighed.
"Hey Francis, Mum wants to talk to you"
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
"Sorry she knows your on there"
"Has she been listing the whole time?" Francis asked suddenly feeling sorry for Malcolm if she had.
"She only just came in at the end of it, she didn't hear me tell you, and well you know"
"GOD MALCOLM THE WHOLE SCHOOL KNOWS!" Francis heard his mother yell, "NOW GIVE ME THE PHONE"
"Uh Francis?"
"Yeah I know I'll catchya next time k?"
"Ok, bye" Malcolm passed the phone to his mother.
"Hey Mum…"
The EndAuthors notes: There over I started writing this after I saw the episode where Malcolm went to high school. I couldn't help but want to know what Francis's reaction could have been with Malcolm trying to get into military school so I started writing. It only took 24 hours to write it completely.
