Jo was waiting tables when we walked in, she looked up and grinned, but before she could come our way an older woman with a constant frown on her face came up to us. "Deana Winchester I ought to- Who's this?" she looked at Castiel, then at his hand on my arm.

"This is my," I don't really know what he is to me, "this is Castiel. I thought I'd show him the best bar in town."

Cas extends his hand, "It's nice to meet you."

"I'm Ellen, Jo's mom." They shake hands and Ellen turns back to the counter, "I have to go, make sure you don't start any fights Dean."

I raise up my hands in surrender, "I would never."

She doesn't say anything, but points to a table and I grab Cas's hand before she has a chance to come back. "Do you normally start fights?" Cas sits down next to me and turns to me, he looks worried, but also a little bit amused.

I roll my eyes and grab the can of peanuts, "Ok well, I'm not the one in fights. I might have, this was one time grant it, but once I sort of made two men fight and I stole their wallets." Cas just stares at me and I feel like I have to explain that I'm not a total thief. "Alright they were bothering a couple girls who just wanted to have fun and get on with their night, so I flirted with both of them. Next thing you know one has the other pinned against the bar and my hand just happens to find their wallets and I take about fifty dollars from each of them." It was a hundred from each of them but this sounds better. "They had it coming. They were being pigs."

"Don't forget all those times you hustle pool here." Jo says as she sits down across from us. "You must be Cas. I'm Jo. Dean's best friend."

"Nice to meet you." Cas shakes her hand and I see her throw a smile at me. "What do you mean hustle pool?"

I pale and shake my head at Jo, "Oh well. I'll bring you both some sweat tea." She stands up and practically runs away.

"What did she mean hustle pool?"

I rake a hand through my hair, "I'm not a bad person."

"I never said you were. I've just never played pool before."

Cas leans into me and I smile, "That's what I normally say."

"Why do you do it?" Cas looks genuinely confused.

"The extra money helps out sometimes. I don't hustle pool all the time, only if I can't pay my electric bill, or I haven't had something other than ramen noodles in two weeks." I turn my head to see Ellen side eyeing me from the bar.

Cas leans over and kisses my cheek I smile, closing my eyes. When I open them back up Ellen's eyes are wider than after the time she found out her daughter could hold more shots than the truckers who stop in here sometimes. I turn my head back to Cas and he looks great. He always looks great. "So what should I get to eat from here?"

After we eat Cas takes me downtown to a movie theatre that I haven't been to in maybe a year. "See anything you want to watch?" I look at the tittles and wrinkle my nose. There are a lot of romance dramas out; they're not really my thing. Then there's a kid's movie playing.

"I don't know, nothing's really jumping out at me." Cas deflates.

"Well there goes this date."

"Dude, it's fine. A date doesn't have to be food and a movie. We can do something else."

Cas looks around the nearly empty street, "Like what? It's two thirty on Sunday. Nothing is really open and if it was it's too early."

"You could help me unpack my things." I said it as a joke but Cas's eyes lit up. "No dude, you wanted this to be an actual date I'm not going to make you do chores with me."

"Ok, is there anything else you have in mind?"

My mind jumps somewhere dirty, "Fine, we'll head back to my place."

"Good because I have a knack for organizing books. I worked at a library when I was 17." Cas slides his hand into mine.

I roll my eyes, but hide the smile that won't leave my face, "Of course you did, and I bet you loved it."

"Why wouldn't I?"
