| ChaoticInscriber chapter 3 . 6/3/2019 I nearly collapsed giggling by just a few paragraphs in. "A giant Draco"?! I love it. I love Harry's entire initial reaction to Lucius. I didn't even reach the part where they might have spoken, I had to take down my intended note here before I could slip and forget to. Heading back up to finish reading it now. XD Gah. It got better. So cute! XD ("When Draco's Father hears about this..." *gigglefit*) "Hufflepuff Revolt"? 3 YES. Draco having that kind of awareness and sense? YES. 3 I love how Harry is managing to be so very Slytherin, yet utterly adorable and sweet at the same time, and not just faking it for manipulation. |

| ChaoticInscriber chapter 1 . 6/3/2019 OoO Oh yes, this is a very interesting alternate to the canon story. I think I might like this better, it's far more interesting and complex a setup than the canon which largely followed the basic "boy hero saga" tropes if you boil it down to the baseline structures. Especially if Dumbledore genuinely didn't know Lily was adopted and just made a dangerous mistake, or it at least seems like he really didn't know for a good while before we find out for certain otherwise. The potential drama~! I like Harry's thought processes and actions, they feel like they make a lot of sense on their own and also for his established life story. Why wouldn't he dive into the library to find out all he can about his family now that he knows they weren't layabout drunks? Why wouldn't he look into any relatives he might have other than the Dursley's, especially when this method doesn't tell anyone he did so unless he chooses to? Why wouldn't a kid with Harry's life, who the Sorting Hat considered suited to Slytherin, be taking advantage of library access in both Magical and Muggle worlds to research any and all possible ways to escape Durzkaban? He can't use the "scholarship to a year round boarding school" method in the Muggle world because he's not allowed to score higher than Dudley, perhaps, but there have to have been other things he could dig out that might have helped in some way, some day, to be plotting about? |
