| DawnScarlet19610 chapter 1 . 12/1/2019 I really enjoyed this chapter and look forward to reading more. The only critique I have is using the name Bilbo for a female hobbit. Seems they're often named after flowers and things like that. Bilbo would be so embarrassing to have as a name for a girl, I think. Not very fetching. Anyways, great start! |

I am sorry that you haven't continued it, but I really enjoyed what you've written so far, and I've subscribed with fingers crossed. :) The alternating points of view add a lot of texture to the story and give the reader a more well-rounded sense of all of the characters, especially the dwarves. | jilba25 chapter 6 . 4/18/2019 Course Thorin was embarrassed, but you would need to rack him to get him to admit it. Love Dwalin being protective of Bilbo, and her neighbors being concerned is sweet too. The Company recovers their manners at the end, this fits with my theory that the Dwarves were hungry, on the road for who knows how long, they genuinely were desperate for a good meal which is why they are all Bilbo's food. And l think they played up a bit from relief; they'd all made it to the Shire, their quest is about to began and they were in a safe place, the Shire, protein by Rangers so they could relax, you bring this theory of mine in very well throughout this chapter |
