Reviews for In Which Eeyore Goes to Azkaban
Guest chapter 1 . 11/26/2019
I'm not sure how I found this fic, but I'm glad I did! This was really well written, and will probably remain as my head-canon. The characters descriptions were spot on!

This was a treat. You pulled Eeyore into the Wizarding World quite commendably with the animagus angle and I was delighted with realizing that other band of animagi he hangs out with was everyone else in the 100 acre wood. From the legal point of view, Christopher Robin is probably seen as a crime boss which I think is hilarious. I think it was very smart not to give too many details about Christopher Robin or the 100 acre wood, it kind of maintains the sacred childhood charm of the whole thing. Eeyore was great, he quite often exhibited some bitingly sarcastic remarks in the book series so it was nice to see that touched on and I think it's quite appropriate that his melancholy is at least self-imposed. Owl as well was nicely represented. I got a serious kick out of all the references to the show and the world of Milne. Eeyore singing or speaking in rhyme, or the capitalized words like the Daring Escape and Cunning Plan had me in stitches. It's nice that although Eeyore is mostly set in how he responds to things, he and Sirius both have an influence on one another and you can see that they don't give one another JUST stock responses. With their rapport, I can kind of picture Sirius hiding out in the 100 acre wood during some of his 'off the map' moments. It was a charming and enjoyable piece.

Winnie-The-Pooh crossovers are my new favourite.

the HP fans must not have found you - you should have more reviews.
This is very funny. I liked the gentle balanced touch you kept with Eeyore - he's gloomy but still a sympathetic character.

Very fun and cute!

Dear Alias:

This is a good deal weaker than the Spider-Man one, I think. The basic concept seems contrived rather than inevitable, and I don't think you get Eeyore the way you got Peter. (Try to imagine your Eeyore giving the speech about A, or talking about how Sorry all of his fluff-headed neighbors will be if he freezes to death for want of a house.) And then it doesn't seem to end; it just stops in mid-stream, like a Coen Brothers movie. Not So Good.

Sincerely,
Qoheleth

Eeyore is so depressed I think he could make dementors depressed.

This story is brilliant! It really shouldn't work but it does and I really want to know about the rest of the one hundred acre wood gang. Please write more about them!

This story is genius. It's original and funny in a depressing way (even if that makes no sense.)
