Houdini would have been a good name for one of my hamsters when I was a kid or rather it would have been a good name for a number of them. I became very good at doing morning checks for vacant cages and created a list of prefered hiding spots.
Only one was never found... *shrugs* I think one of the cats ate him.

Thank you for the giggles I've given into the past few minutes. :)

You see I had kicked the habit. I no longer got the shakes, the cravings had stopped and I was ready to move on. I was getting through the god-knows-how-many-step program. Then you go and make not one but 4 update notices show up in my phone. And you make me google again (gerbil). It was as if you deliberately and knowingly sabotaged my months of recovery.

All that aside THANK YOU.

My brain is afloat in a sea of boiling snot and I'm trying to blow said b. out through my nose. Sorely tempted to either get a can opener to rescue it from drowning or shove a fire hose up one nostril to cleanse the topmost of my 'chakras' .

I can just imagine Sherlock Googling "How do I get my partner to like my gerbil?" too, which I bet would return some ... interesting results.
