RedOak chapter 1 . 1/2/2017 Thanks for writing this. In an odd way this story gives me peace. |
Ihsan997 chapter 4 . 12/3/2015 Cass seems rather taken by Zin...but why? Even writing to him is illegal, as she says; it should just be business. Perhaps the fact that he carried her home when she was drunk, and didn't hurt or rob her, left a strong impression? I have certain other ideas about her and her reactions to him, but they must remain concealed for now. Lilla...my god. Undoubtedly, people in such situations exist in real life. But my god, this is horrifying. I mean literally, it's like a horror story. I'm as interested in seeing what happened as Zin and Cass. Since she wrote the diary, she must be okay and safe somewhere...right? |
Ihsan997 chapter 3 . 8/11/2015 Cass really is a treasure. A bit of a mess, but she's a shining light in an otherwise dark story. Despite being a mess, she seems genuinely upbeat in addition to being a professional. No translations this chapter...O almost felt as stressed as Zin the first time I read it. Of course, the journal was old and the events already in the past. If Lilla had been able to write it, then hopefully she found peace at some point. It's not like she'll be hurt if Zin has to wait before finishing her journal. And yet he MUST know what happened! Just like the reader must know! Gosh, it's so eerie...he doesn't know why he's drawn to Lilla and neither do I. Her story is horrifying and yet engaging at the same time. The reader wants so badly to get some sliver of good news about her, even if she isn't real (in our case) or is legally an enemy (in Zin's case). Good introduction for the woman who will help us see the rest of the journal, and good explanation of Zin's feelings. |
Ihsan997 chapter 2 . 8/3/2015 I read this months ago and tried the second chapter again today. I started ten hours ago and it took me this long to get through it. In the beginning I was drinking coffee and I felt nausea burning in my stomach. I skipped some of the more graphic parts. I feel like I'm Zin, reading this. It's just a story but I get so upset reading it. He found it wrong for political reasons, I find it wrong as it isn't real but both he and the reader are gripped painfully all the same. He has a heart even after all the warfare, and I wonder just as much as he does what ever happened to the woman whose old journal was found in an abandoned house. And I hope Rolf got raped by an elekk. Over and over. |
Ihsan997 chapter 1 . 6/25/2015 Wow. I read this story months ago, and I'm revisiting it now and just...wow. Normally I would heed the disclaimer as the content is incresibly disturbing, yet the sympathy for Lilla is too compelling. Additionally, your writing skills show here - the narrative is totally different between the POV and the diary and that had to have been challening. As for the story itself...to move on past the pain, and to forgive...Lilla received this diary two years prior, but Zin found it in a decrepit house. How did she escape Rolf? How did it get to that house - did she live there? How did she move on in only two years after suffering something so horrifying that she didn't deserve? There are so many questions about her. But Zin seems more straightforward. He is the reader's eyes; his respect for Lilla having obviously moved on is so easy to identify with. His curiosity is, too. He is obviously a thoughtful person, tired of senseless conflict. And just about anybody would be fascinated by a diary with no owner, so right there that's easy to identify with too, as his immediate hatred of Rolf. Really, really looking forward to rereading this - your stories are worth it. |
Avalanet chapter 7 . 3/31/2014 Love this! :) |
Rio's Desire chapter 7 . 8/27/2013 Your stories are pretty great...I'll come back and read any WoW story you write! I hope you finishe them, especially the one with Atal and Eruanna! |
Rio's Desire chapter 6 . 8/26/2013 Love that Eruanna was in this chapter...her and Atal's story was one I hungrily read and enjoyed thoroughly. So what will Zin do now? Doesn't he need to find the human and help her? I don't know where the relationship is going either with Cassara. |
Rio's Desire chapter 5 . 8/26/2013 That was a cute chapter! I like the comfortable relationship between them, and the uncertainty of it all. |
Rio's Desire chapter 4 . 8/26/2013 I too, feel compelled to read Lilla's story. The tentative relationship between Cassara and Zin is interesting. |
Rio's Desire chapter 2 . 8/26/2013 Wow...this diary entry was something I did not expect, but I am dying to read more! |
