What a great read thank you!

Let me preface this by saying that I a huge Tony/Ziva shipper and thus generally gravitate towards Tony/Ziva stories.

This is one of the best NCIS stories I have ever read. Bar none. You did an excellent job portraying both lead characters, especially Tony.

I love how you have Tony playing the fool only to show at the end that he knew exactly what was going on from the start and had orchestrated every distraction that Gibbs encountered. It was reminiscent of the way he played Eli David in interrogation in Tel Aviv, where he pretended to be out of his depth before turning the tables on Eli and in so doing revealing that he had been in control of the interrogation from the start (although obviously with much kinder intentions in this case).

As for Gibbs, because he's not a talker, writing from his viewpoint made complete sense and you did a good job portraying both his exasperation and affection for Tony, as well as his struggle to cope with the potentially crippling fear that comes with a seemingly endless wait to find out one's fate.

Then there's the ending; just fantastic! The joke about Gibbs' negative result was classic Tony in every way and the moment where both finally drop their walls and show each other how much they care for and appreciate each other was beyond heart-warming.

Oh, yes, Tony knew... He's just smart that way. Comes with being the good intuitive investigator that he is.
Good one. I specially like the POV. And that Gibbs would have liked to have Tony at his side/on his six on that 'other' worst day of his life ...

OMG! I don't know whether to laugh or scream or cry. That was amazing in every way, and quite in character for both of them I think. But I kinda want to smack Gibbs with a plank of wood! If ever there was a cause for violence, I think that might be it lol!

Hi, a very well done story! Those 3 months were hard, just loved how you resolved the questions you threw up during that time. Now I wonder if Tony spillt and damaged the deck on purpose to be sure Gibbs would have him come spend the weekends with him? He wouldn't, would he?

Really liked how Tony was there for him, from the deck, the gym, and even taking his own life into his hands and playing with Ziva's gun sight. Everything done to support Gibbs' and not let him be alone. Absolutely loved this!
