I'm so happy you posted a new chapter! You have no idea how much I adore this story!

This is such a good chapter. I could literally feel how uncomfortable things were for Shawn and Gus. But I'm so happy they're working things out. :)

I love the story of Shawn playing cards with the little girl's cheating grandpa while he was supposed to be on patrol. That is such a Shawn thing to do! And of course he won. Love it!

I'm super excited for the next chapter of both stories because your stories make my day! How about a box of chocolate covered pineapple? ;) :D

It was great getting to see Shawn (and his friendship with Marty) from Marty's pov. I love when a writer lets you see things from the OC's perspective.

McCoy was perfect at talking Gus around, and knowing exactly what it was about Shawn lying to him, that bothered Gus the most. And, of course, McCoy did it because he wants to make sure our dynamic detective duo keep clear heads and stay focused for this very dangerous case.

I'm very excited to see Shawn reunited with his LA friends and I look forward to seeing Shawn in action as a cop. :) :) :)

Yay, I've finally gotten caught up on the chapters I missed. And, wow, there's so much to process! I really like the mystery and am anxious to see how everything turns out with Sam, and the protective custody, and everything else Shawn is dealing with right now. But there's also so many good subplots going on ‐ Lassie and Jules unofficial investigation, Shawn keeping his past secret, his relationship with Abigail, and now this disagreement with Gus. Not a lot of authors could juggle that many plot threads and still keep the story entertaining and suspenseful, but you're doing a great job at it.

I definitely enjoyed it! While I don't like for Gussypoo to be sad - I loved getting Gus' perspective on everything that has happened. Especially him thinking back to when and why Shawn left and the years that followed. Wonderful insight into their past as friends.

Now poor Gus is so sad, hurt and mad. And with good reason. I hope he can quickly forgive Shawn as he always does. He and Shawn are both the most forgiving people ever. Which just really drives home how bad things were between Shawn and Henry for Shawn to be gone for years.

I'm speculating that there is probably a conversation about Shawn coming up between McCoy and Gus since you put them two together? Maybe? :)

Juliet and Lassiter have a lot of nerve asking Shawn not to tell on them right after trying to trick him into giving them information. Right now they seem less like concerned friends and just jealous that Shawn is working a case without them.

Their behavior reminds me of how rude they were to Shawn and Gus in the episode "High Top Fade Out". So you're doing a great job, in my opinion, of keeping them in character. ;) I know they care but they also have their moments where their behavior leaves something to be desired.

Thank goodness Vick called Gus and thank goodness for Guss' quick thinking to explain the gun. I almost hope that Gus tells Vick about Juliet and Lassiter questioning Shawn. I know it's mean but they're ticking me off. Lol.

I definitely hope Shawn can come up with a good lie about the gun for Gus and Abigail. Though I'm sure he will have to tell Gus the truth when they get to LA. That's going to be interesting!

Ah that makes sense that Sam used Shawn as an alias. But was it nefarious in intention or did he figure Shawn could handle any of the consequences.

McCoy saying he'll take Shawn and Gus to LA has me imagining the protests from Gus given that he has his pharmaceutical rounds to do!

This story is so good that I honestly didn't think it could get any better but WOW what a chapter! This is just getting juicier and juicier!

Juliet's and Lassiter's reactions to all of this stuff with Shawn is nerve wracking. I'm so scared they are going to find out his secret. And Abigail is not going to be a happy camper about Shawn leaving, I bet.

This was, of course, another wonderful chapter. Your Shabigail scenes always make me smile and warm my heart. They are just so cute together and you do an amazing job of staying true to their characters. I love that Gus was smiling at the interaction between the two of them.

And I have no idea how Shawn is going to explain his gun (yes, it is most certainly going to bite him) to Lassie and Jules without having to give some things away. This is going to be very interesting!

Lastly, I just discovered today that the P.S. below did not go through the last time I commented. Fanfiction wouldn't send it through for some reason. Oh well, better late than never. Lol.
