Love this!

Great story! I really can't stand gibbs and I'm convinced his treatment of tony is due to MH not canon (unless you brlieve gibbs and harmon both have 'aging lion ' issues). As bad as i have felt for tony, i feel really bad for Michael Weatherly but he sure landed on his feet!

I was randomly looking up odd crossovers and stumbled on Serieux Part 2, but chose to read Part 1 first, and I have to say I'm a little disappointed in Part 1.

I under stand what you were going for, but 50%-60% of chapter 2 could have been left out without effecting the story you've otherwise good written at all (it became very repetitive and dull to the point that I had to skim past most of it).

To be fair, I'm going to start reading Part 2 now and will see how it goes... and likely review it again at some point (for other readers - that story is currently up to 17 chapters). I do hope you find a Beta reader / Editor or even just have a friend IRL read the chapters so you can get a feel for when introspection and detail begin to overwhelm the story again.

Yeah, not sure where you're going with this and felt chapter 2 was especially "Wall of (unnecesarry) Word-y," but can't argue your point that the Producers screwed up royally. About the only thing they got right in Michael's new series was the double-entendre of the series' name.

Anyway, on to part deux...

As always, your take on Gibbs, Vance and their attitude towards Tony is a bull's eye. The more I think on it, I begin to wonder if the only reason Gibbs dragged Tony back from Baltimore was not because he wanted to save him but to exploit him. Everyone goes on about how Gibbs is the greatest thing in law enforcement since sliced bread. If he was so great, why has he spent his entire career in a rinky dink agency like NCIS. Face it the creator picked it because CBS gave him a deal for new series so he used JAG as a jumping off point and few people outside the Navy/Marine Corps have ever heard of them, let alone had any idea what they do. DPB could toss out anything and the lion's share of the viewer wouldn't know fact from fallacy.

I still don't see how Gibbs ever became an NCIS agent. He didn't fit the qualifications back when he supposedly became one (the basic requirements of education and experience as an investigator haven't changed that much since the very early '90's). Back then, the military investigative services did most of their recruiting from the military academies and military police. Gibbs was a sniper, not an MP.

End rant. I gave up watching with an regularity back around late season 2 early season 3. I laughed my butt off at the whole Ziva nonsense. Just for information's sake: I asked a friend over in immigration and naturalization a hypothetical question regarding whether or not they would even consider giving citizenship to someone like Ziva. I didn't mention the series, just the facts of what she was and some of things she has done. She looked at me like I was crazy. Her response was a flat out "no way no how".
