very good story , though I must point out that if voldemort doesn't fall to some other scheme , France might be the next target ( regardless of , if he knows or not that the potters ( Sirius Black included ) lives there , of course at the same time , I expect less competence in France , then in the corrupt wizarding Britain , not to mention the possibility that " her majesty's" army would intervene long before voldemort take any real hold

I liked it. A number of stories explore that James and Sirius were horrible bullies, while others seem to indicate that they were just jealous of Severus' friendship with Lilly when James had his eye on her. Regardless of that (in part because that element of the story wasn't created or displayed at first), James and Lilly are both shown as paragons. This is what a paragon would do. I like the insight of Dorea Black as a mom, and how that would have influenced James.

I love this! Such a rarely done concept, and well-written! I'd love to see also a version where Remus is included because pack is family, but where Peter is still left out because he's the traitor! Or, a version where all the Marauders go, with Peter turning a new leaf because he finds confidence and proof of his value in being asked to go with them.
