When you first published this story it was one of my favorites in spite of not reading much Marauder stuff. There are many fics which include James becoming adept at muggle things or make fun of him by not getting them, so a Lily who consciously tries to be part of the world that welcomed her is nice.
I found your OC great. She's kind of a Mary Sue, but giving the way you write female pureblood characters, I think she's amazing. I actually love that you used an OC instead of an already known name.
The use of [his eyes burned like Fiendfyre] was great.

THis was my favorite of all your fics because of the Lily/James pairing. As a die hard fan of this pairing, seeing you write something with them together is WONDERFUL.

I'm also curious on what happen to the darker(darkest) version of this fic? Where James promised his sister to Sirius irregardless of her feelings and without her consent?

Hello! I'm extremely glad that you decided to re-post your fics; they're lovely and have a unique and fascinating take on pureblood culture. This is one of my favorites of that 'verse.

I remember when this was a veeeeeery different, darker version in your "anthology", which is why I wanted to point out something. In the original version, Lily was a less sympathetic, eh, let's say sort of a harridan that said the obnoxious lines to James at the beginning. In this version, McLaggen seems to have that role... but sometimes her lines are said by Lily, which gets confusing. You might want to edit that. Otherwise, great writing! :)

How is Twined pronounced? Is the 'twi' pronounced as in twine (a piece of thread) or as in twins? It seems like an interesting concept, which I would like to use in some future story of mine. If I decide upon it, I'll be sure to PM you, as you have requested on your profile page.
