Is it wrong that i want mairu and kururi to bump into shizuo and starts to get mad at him because he made their brother sad, cause i can totally picture the girls knowing their brother's sad and hurt, and this make the girls angry so angry that they want to yell and rage at their brother boyfriend and in the end the girls starts to cry which make shizuo so confuse on what to do. Well that's just my fantasy any way please get back to writing soon because i really want to read what happen next not just in this fanfic but in your other durarara fanfic to.

I mean... he don't even seem to understand the concept of social rules, much less care. Why would he be embarrased of breaking them?

I think you portray Shizuo perfectly spot on. He IS a caring and loving kind of guy, tho I would imagine he would be more likely to be embarrased than Izaya. Since Shizuo knows what is socially acceptable, even if he acts a bit nochelant about it, especially if he gets angry and don't think. Tho he would proboably act grumpy and respond to embarassment with violence. *Chuckles* So cute~

But I also think Izaya wouldn't be embarassed at all, for anything. Insecure, yes, I can see that. Because he would fear loosing Shizuo above all else, even more than he fears death... But not embarassment. I mean... We ARE talking about the guy whom, at age 23, rides his invisble/imaginary motorbike in public, and skipps across the road like a schoolgirl, never mind his eternal attention seeking attitude. (Tho mostly he seeks Shizuo's attention maybe. Lol)

Why isn't Izaya doing illegal things tho? He would no doubt hold all sorts of information on his humans, he always loved to observe them. But at some point, just observing the same emotions gets boring, so it could easilly be why he began playing with them, so he could observe new emotions...

But for criminal activities... they have always drawn inn theillseekers. (Well, those and extreme sports, but Izaya has never held any morals, from what I can understand. His parents seems very absent, and as such he might have ended up going to the 'daycare' rather than 'kindergarden', and thus had worse teachers/aunts whatever you call it, and been less socialized, as well as his parents not caring enough about him to stay home indicating they don't care at all, and thus not teaching him any kind of morals. And his isolation from other people would also mean nobody else has influence on his to it. Also... didn't he quote that there is no good or evil people, only tedious and charming, dorian grey...I think it was Lord Henry...aaaanyway.

Point being: Izaya has no moral, is easilly bored, and always seeks out new thrills. So why not have him involved with the criminal side? I doubt Shinra has much effect on that part.

I should proboably point out that Shinra is terrifyed of Shizuo, and Tom seems pretty scared of him too. (I've seen the sweatdrop expression of fear on Tom, and when Shizuo gets shot and Shinra teases him and he grumbles at Shinra, Shinra bows down to the ground on the table and apologize from the deepest of his hear. Lol) Celty is not afraid of him, but she cannot die or even get hirt, so I think he wouldn't count her, because she is a monster, just like him.

And shouldn't Izaya be happy and exited at seeing Shizuo's violent strenght figting people? He gets bored so easilly... he seems like he's got alot of sociopathic tendencies, but without actually being a sociopath... *Ponders* I have postulated that he is a Narcessist tho, but he really is pathologically bored as well. He -loves- anything that makes his heart beat faster, and fear and exitement is the exact same emotion, but with a different wrapping. (You can actually turn fear into exitement just by adjusting how you think about it. I've been working on testing that myself, and it works perfectly. With some work.)

I was sure he was gonna lift up a truck or something, not get into a fight. Is he subconciously trying to impress Izaya~? *Chuckles*

I haven't really thought about this before, but now... I think I understand Shinra. From everything I have seen of him, he IS a sociopath, by the actual defenition of one. And one of the rare few who managed to fall in love (which is possible for a sociopath, if rare, but not for a psychopath) And since he is not capable of caring about the rest of the world in any way himself, he lives through Celty, in a way. He can easilly let her dictate his life, because he doesn't have any emotions at all (or very shallow emotions) towards anything other than Celty. He may be Izaya's only friend in the canon, but he doesn't -care- about him.

Your famfic does give an interesting viewpoint...filling in the blanks here and there...making it easyer to see things I have overlooked before.

Did Izaya not know how to fight all that well at this point? Cuz he was damned good when he first met Shizuo. (Although, admittingly, even better at running away. *Chuckles*)
Or did he learn it because of the Shinra incident you think? And does that mean he will learn it now, after this incident?
