Never get sick of this story. Read it a few times now!
Mary chapter 9 . 2/1/2019
You have a big point and I admit to scrolling through most. It kind of hit home a bit much. I did not see anything wrong or feel bad as I was in Tony's position at work with family sans the joking and such. I was a puppet and used and abused. Tony is no saint and has his flaws but is my favorite. Guess I wished and still do to have the tenacity to stay strong and in your story free themselves and find happiness in both family and in a romantic sense. I still got trust issues a mile wide with those not family so romantic interest is not there. You have a great story and I applaud and enjoy every bit you write.

Have never read such a well thought out story for Tony with him being a more believable human who doesn’t kneel to the mighty Gibbs. Thank you.

I definitely loved this story! I was a bit afraid to read it because I have breast cancer with bone and lung metastases. So I did not want to read a sad story that to show in detail the process that we (cancer patients) went through.
But the story was nothing like that. I loved the way you finished the story: through Tony's records in his diary. It was a good way to show how the other characters are, without taking the focus off Tony. You wrote about babies in a cute way! The fact that you kept Jimmy's friendship with Tony was also great because he proved to be more his friend than Abby, for example. Did I miss any kind of coping with Ducky because he did not have Tony's six (narcissistic?) And now he's part of the new family, even though it's basically been
But, as I said, I loved the story. You write very well! Congratulations!

As I read your story after it is finished, I leave a comment in the last chapter. But after reading your note about the aggressive criticisms you received, I had to give you my support. His vision of Tony is the same as mine, he is the best person on the team and also the best investigator. Obviously, he does not have a good view of himself, considering MCTR as his team after all that has passed, prove it. And it's not just the team that does not support him, although he says he's his best friend Abby joined Cate to forge a picture in which he looks gay and during Gibbs's Mexico vacation he just whined and demanded that Tony bring him . back. The only person who supported him was Palmer, who became my second favorite character. I do not watch the series anymore, I stopped when Tony left and I really wanted her canceled. Congratulations on your story! The way you wrote about cancer was very sensitive, I'm going through this problem and I almost did not read it, but you explained that I would not kill Tony and I decided to read it, I'm glad I did, because I would have lost a good story .

Great Writing!
borderlinecrazy chapter 12 . 9/14/2018
Small detail - for the time period it was produced, and especially for the time period it was set in, The Waltons was actually fairly risqué. I'm especially fond of an episode in the later seasons, when the kids are all grown up and war had started... not all of the sons were eligible for service. And, with bitching reminiscent of Marvel's Steve Rodgers, said kid wasn't happy about it, and had to be talked off that fairy tail ledge of going to war makes heroes... then there's the episode where the pregnant girlfriend of their recently dead son shows up needing help as her parents kicked her pregnant butt out.
Basically - it showed enough reality and social problems that needed addressing that it, at the time, was almost considered a proponent of social reform. So, not some sweet idealistic show, eh?

Great story

I enjoyed re-reading this story I'm a fan of Tony and a critic of Gibbs' team. Gibbs was so wrong in his treatment of Tony and lack of respect he showed him for years was unforgivable. It's sad Tony had to suffer through cancer before he decides to put himself first and move on. Tony found love, family, real friends, and life. Your portrayals of Abby, Tim and Ziva were spot-on. They all got what they deserved, somewhat. Your way of exposing Abby to herself with the counselor’s assessment of her behavior and attitude was perfectly written. This story disappeared for awhile glad you finally finished it…Thanks for sharing.

This was a wonderful and good story! I loved how all the characters grew and became better people even Z and Tim kind of...LOL! But it was good and heartwarming.
