She feels his smile against her ear: "I'm willing to make an exception… for you… tonight." (Set after Sisi issues her ultimatum: She asks Death to stay, and he is most willing to comply with her wishes.)

[Death/Elisabeth] After all these years, after all this suffering, this is the last straw for her. Her son, her Rudolf and he, always he, with his eternal presence, his sharp gaze, his taunting smile. After all these years, after all the times he has made her this proposal, he rejects her. [Death/Elisabeth] What are years to him? Empires have fallen for him, vicious rulers, brave men, all believing themselves immortal; they bled out before his very eyes. He can wait a lifetime, and for her he will. Empress, queen, she will be his. He will be patient, he always is what makes him who he is, and no matter what games they play with him- he always wins.

Haar zoon, haar Rudolf, en hij, altijd hij, met zijn eeuwige aanwezigheid, zijn scherpe blik, zijn treiterende glimlach. Growing up in the palace, Rudolf befriended the daughter of one of the servants. She is there to stop him from shooting himself in Mayerling. But Death will always get what he wants.

Rudolf has a nightmare and there is a storm, what child wouldn't be scared. Even young Princes get scared from time to time. He can't find his mother but maybe instead he finds someone better. Small Rudolf only wanted to go picking flowers for his mother Elisabeth but ends up gaining a friend who is not as honest as Rudolf thinks. Death: Màtè Kàmàràs For now it's a small OneShot but maybe I'll add Mayerling soon.
