Vincent is still a janitor at Gattaca when Jerome Eugene Morrow joins as an engineer. Eugene is trying to rebuild his life after the "accident" and the snobs he has to work with at Gattaca aren't helping. Frankly, the only person he likes there is the janitor. Or, the one where Jerome Eugene Morrow actually does work for Gattaca. AU, multi-chapter.

Vincent is on the cusp of leaving Earth when he finally finds his reason to stay. He just hopes he hasn't realised it too late...

Vincent, worried about Eugene alone in the house all day, insists Eugene get a hobby. Eugene grudgingly complies. "If there was any consolation, it came in the fact that at least he was pretty sure Vincent had been expecting him to take up something fairly innocuous. He probably hadn't been expecting Eugene to buy throwing knives." Oneshot.

Vincent thinks Eugene needs to get his drinking under control. Eugene thinks Vincent needs to stop sticking his nose in Eugene's business. Oneshot.
