Before the fire, Odette had a goal. Before being the Maître Ballet in Paris, Louis Mérante had a life. They dreamed and then they met. The story before each became everything to the other.

Odette and Merante got a fight after Felicie failed Audition...

"Why do you dance?" That question was easy to answer. It was the only thing that gave her life purpose. It was the only thing that made her life worth living. "What should I live for, if I cannot dance?" That question was harder. She still had no answer.

While Felicie lives her dream, Odette feels sick and she has lost her remaining power. But she does not want to burden anyone but Merante cannot look on idle. He has to follow her...

She, with Mérante to guide her, relearns the pas de deux the two were supposed to perform in their debut as prima ballerina and ballet master - a debut stolen by the fire - all the while rebuilding a long neglected relationship...
