A stalker protects his squad while he waits for help. Originally posted on GSC's forums around thirteen years ago under the title 'Fast Ripe, Fast Rotten.' Always been a short story I was pretty proud of so I've tidied it up a little and changed the title (original title was a Chinese proverb which people said was a bit obscure. I'm inclined to agree!)

BBC thought it would be a great idea to film a documentary in the Zone. The stalkers hired for it didn't think so, but 30,000 rubles a day is an excellent pacifier. Of course, rarely do things go according to plan, and the Zone is a fickle mistress. (Caution: coarse language and usual Zone inhumanity.)

After the incident in the CNPP Strelok decides to stay in the rookie camp, where he has been living in peace helping Wolf with certain tasks until one day a group of recruits it's assigned to him.

Things changed after the Blowout. Some for the better, some not so much. But for the men who live and die by the Zone, who work and don't play games with politics, it really was business as usual; fighting, suffering, death, as usual, and in the end the Zone will take us all.

I haven't read this in ages, however it's probably just as cringe worthy as the other one.

I just don't even know how to respond. Apparently I was monologing throughout the entire thing or perhaps it was just too cliche for me to read. Who Knows.

A story I wrote a while ago, I don't know if I'll continue it. As of a few years ago the company that was working on Stalker had lost the copyrights unfortunately because they were hired by a different company. They're currently working on Survarium. I will never give up my support for the "Stalker" series.
