1:15 AM. July 7th, 1995. Kaitlin Greenbriar has just arrived at her family's new home. Back after a year of studying abroad, she finds the large mansion, isolated in the woods during a rainstorm, to be completely empty. As she hunts through the house for clues as to the whereabouts of her missing family, she discovers more than she bargained for.

Samantha arrives at school to find her locker spray vandalized, exposing her to her peers in a way she only knew too well was coming. As this single crime begins to isolate Sam, Lonnie looks for a way to stay by her side.

Okay. Sam ran away. Mom and Dad will be coming home in the morning from their couple's retreat or whatever. It's three in the morning and Kaitlin's standing in the attic, a house full of secrets beneath her feet and a whole lot of drama about to cut loose when her parents get home. Now what?

Epilogue to Gone Home. A video game that made me cry. ABANDONED.

This will probably turn into another collection of ficlets. These will be about Sam and Lonnie and will probably all take place before Katie's return from Europe since I like playing with other people's toys in their own sandbox, not in one that I construct.

At the end of Gone Home, Katie has a few answers, but far more unanswered questions and a sudden pile of responsibilities she never anticipated. These are the letters she writes in response to Sam's entries to her.
