An alternate take on what Monkey's reaction could have been.

What made Monkey the way that he was? Where did he come from? How did he end up in the Wilds, alone? Why did he share Pyramid's face and voice? These are some of the questions the game left me with, and this is me trying to answer some of them. Rated T for the death of mutated beings.

Pyramid is gone, never to enslave anyone again. But the mechs still walk and weave destruction. Now Trip and Monkey must decide what comes next. And while Monkey still holds running as the safest route, Trip needs more from life.

Pyramid's dream has ended, and Trip's hometown has a new name and purpose. But when things begin to go wrong with terrible calculation, Trip and Monkey realize that freeing Pyramid's enslaved might be more complicated than simply leading them home.

Not long after finding her village destroyed, Trip deals with the fallout of her emotions as she and Monkey are stopped for the night. Monkey doesn't know what to do but knows that he has to do something. Some obvious but not overt Monkey/Trip. One-Shot.

This is just an extension of the campfire scene, with some added plot elements I think would have added even more interest to the story.

Probably the only fan-fiction I will ever write. I don't even consider myself a writer; I just had to get this out of my system. This game's fascinating unfinished story has often occupied my daydreams ever since playing it. My addition is a shamelessly sentimental piece of crap, but I loved writing every word of it, and hopefully it will entertain a few people.

She just wants a moment. A moment where it all doesn't hurt. She tries to set him free in order to make up for, at least, one thing she did so very wrong and make some of the pain go away. But what happens when he asks her to turn it back on? One-shot.

200 years after the fall of humanity nature has reclaimed the earth only a fraction of society remains in scattered tribes across the globe. A brutish wild loner known only known as Monkey has survived on his own all his life until circumstance leads to him becoming bound in body and mind to a young man with a strange name and is taken on a long journey of life, death and rebirth.

What if Trip had kept her promise and freed Monkey at the village? Would things have turned out differently? Oneshot, slight AU, mostly romantic fluff. :P

It was over. Pyramid was shut down. The pain was gone. Or... at least... it was supposed to be. What will be the personal repercussions for the deactivation of Pyramid for our heroes? One-shot.

A snowstorm keeps Monkey away from Trip's village right before the winter holiday, but he stays sane and she doesn't worry. Well, sort of.

Monkey has never been one to run but when Trip needs his help to guide the freed slaves, he has trouble abandoning the safety of staying alone to take of responsibilities he never wanted. When fate only drives the stakes higher, will he vanish once more?

Trip and Monkey have pulled the plug on Pyramid and freed the slaves. As they leave, they find a woman in hysterics - a woman Monkey never thought he'd see again. Her name is Core and she just wants to go home. Post-game. Monkey/Trip. Monkey/OC implied.
