This isn't the usual fan fiction story I'm working on that is inside the Alan Wake universe. I wanted to mix things up so I decided that Alan isn't the main character in this series but he does play a very important role. The main character is of my own creation who is named Oliver Nightingale. I hope you enjoy the prologue entitled The Champion of Light.

This time, the episode is set in a small town in Minnesota where Alan wants to find decisive clues to return to the real world.
