When James Lake Junior was three months old, he was chosen by the Janus Order to become a Familiar. Fifteen years later, Changeling Jim Lake was chosen by Merlin's Amulet to become the next Trollhunter. Out of prewritten chapters; updates alternate Fridays, hopefully.

Jim and Talia are trapped in the Darklands and now are being held prisoner by Gunmar. Good news their friends make a plan to rescue them, but the bad news is Talia has somehow fallen into some kind of illness that is disrupting her powers thanks to whatever the Gumm-Gumm's did to her. Their only chances of survival is getting back home.

On their way to New Jersey, the trolls meet two creatures, a dragonborn, a powerful sorceress with the power to turn into a dragon, and a creature Jim hadn't even dreamed of meeting, another half-troll.

Away from the fight, Darci receives the news, including the message she never thought she would hear. Takes place during Chapter 6 of Juliet Dies in This. Darby. Contains mentions of a character being seemingly dead.

James Draal Lake is a normal 15-year-old boy who lives with his mother Claire and his little sister Nia. His whole life, he thought his father was dead, and that the old, sleepy town of Arcadia was the most boring place on the planet. Well, he was dead wrong. James embarks on an epic adventure, revealing truths as clear as Daylight, which very well may be his to command.

"Changelings call it "Gravesand". Derived from the pulverized bones of fallen Gumm-Gumms, gravesand aids us changelings in shedding our human form and embracing our more trollish nature..." Strickler is a little off in his calculations and the gravesand draws out an unexpected response from Jim. Hopefully he can figure out what is wrong and how to fix it before it is too late.

Jim has lived so long, he can't even remember how old he is. How can he be expected to remember anything about his past as a human being?

As much as he wanted to believe it was the Grave Sand talking, that was wishful thinking and it hurt him more than words could express.
