I'm around 30 years old and I'm a female. I like to read through something to enjoy it the way it is meant to be enjoyed, and then I go through it more thoroughly. I work with the writer in whatever way they need me to, be it a more thorough proofreading (with comments on style, characterization, etc.) or just a simple grammar correction. Sometimes I do like to know where a story is going though to comment on the /br /br /br /

I read a wide range of fandom and genres, as well as pairings for stories that contain them. My preferred pairing can be seen in my bio, though I will read just about any pairing. I also read fandoms I am unfamiliar with, though obviously I cannot comment on the accuracy of the characterization and other facts compared to the canon of the unfamiliar fandom.

Grammar and storytelling are my strongest points, both as a betareader and a writer.

Sometimes I hold back a little when criticizing something because I don't want to hurt someone's feelings (though I do try my best to mention it in a more positive manner if I can). As far as writing goes, I have many unfinished works. I think up stories in my head, but often don't get a chance to get them all down. As such, I have bits and pieces of stories lying around in notebooks or on my computer.

I don't really have a preference since I read a wide range of genres. I will read general stories as well as any pairing be it het, slash, or femslash. I will read K and M and anything in between. Fandoms I have spent a lot of time reading are Harry Potter and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but I have read a lot more than that. I will actually read a fandom I am not familiar with as well. In fact there are some fandoms that I got into simply because I read a fanfic from them.

M-preg. If an author that I am familiar dealing with writes a story that contains m-preg then I will probably beta that story for them but otherwise I would prefer not to get involved. It just creeps me out. Other than that, just about anything goes... and I do mean anything. I've read some pretty messed up stuff before so not much can shock me.
